Here are some extra directions:

Beaver Creek Road from Headquarters to the Northfork of the Clearwater River will be closed again this year to through traffic on week days.

At Headquarters at the end of highway 11 instead if turning left as normal down Beaver Creek, turn right following the detour signs up over Scolfield. This is mostly a one lane gravel road with pullouts, and detour is marked well all the way through.  It is 18 miles through to where you will come out back on the Beaver Creek Road 8 miles from the river.  (Sign says 10 but its 8, I gaged it).  This detour is only one mile further then Beaver Creek Road, but seems farther because it takes you up over a mountain and down the other side.  Follow detour all the way through, and watch for paper plates with MAN CAMP on them.

On week days best not to go through Headquarters any earlier then 2:00 in the afternoon to avoid logging truck traffic coming out.  Most or all of them should be out on their last round by 2:00.   CB's are nice, but you should be fine without one that time of day, Thursday or Friday. Roads are all marked what channel.  Watch for signs.  You should be fine pulling campers, these are all logging truck passable roads.  Take it easy, stay alert enjoy the scenery.  Its a pretty drive through there.  This will be 25 to 30 miles shorter then coming through Bungalow on the 250 road like last year.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.
